The steakhouse is planning to move into the space at 509 7th Street NW that formerly housed the District Chophouse. According to the Bourbon Boulevard DC website, the restaurant is hoping to open this summer.

Bourbon Boulevard’s arrival may be a bit of a surprise for DC foodies in the know. A West African restaurant called Lagos had applied for a license for the same space, leading many to assume it would be occupying the building. However, Lagos did not sign a lease, opening the door for Bourbon Boulevard’s arrival.

Future customers have plenty of reason to be excited about the steakhouse’s arrival. According to the website: “Bourbon Boulevard is a prime steakhouse….Will be serving the finest cuts of meat and offering a big collection of whiskies, bourbons, wines, and tequilas. We also brew beers onsite.”
