No details have been announced about the location or the opening date, but Forbes reported in April that Fogo De Chão plans to open around 10 new locations in the U.S. in 2023, including two in New Jersey and four in California. The restaurant also has a DC location at 1101 Pennsylvania Ave NW

CEO Barry McGowan, a 40-year restaurant industry veteran, previously told Forbes that Fogo De Chão specializes in churrasco, a culinary style that involves cooking over open fire. Pork chops, lamb chops, and bone-in-ribeye are included in the churrasco experience at the restaurant.

Fogo De Chão has expanded to 74 locations globally, according to Forbes, and runs 58 of its restaurants in the U.S. The steakhouse restaurant has locations in Mexico, Brazil, and the Middle East, and currently has an ambitious global expansion plan to open others in the Philippines, Costa Rica, Bolivia, and Canada.

What Now DC reached out to CEO Barry McGowan for additional information and comment.
