The restaurant, located at 2419 Mount Vernon Avenue, is aiming to begin welcoming guests next month. Piece Out Del Ray will be coming back bigger than ever; the space has been expanded from 2,700 square feet to 4,600 square feet.

While much of the new area will be used to serve more hungry patron, owners Larry and Christine Ponzi are also using the new space to provide certain upgrades to the restaurant. The shop will now include a new dining room and booths. Guests looking for some recreation in addition to a delicious slice will be able to take advantage of the newly installed dart boards or the shuffleboard game dedicated to the 21 and over crowd.

The eatery will also feature an outdoor dining area once it reopens this spring.

Despite the upgrades, Piece Out Del Ray will remain the pizzeria fans have come to know and love. Ponzi states “We’re doing our best to keep the feel and vibe of the old Piece Out. We’re just in a space that we really feel is our own. We want to keep all the good things about Piece Out that people love and just make it a little better.”
