The new location will be located at 2212 Rhode Island Ave. NE, according to its website.
Emma’s Torch is a non-profit restaurant that provides culinary training and job placement assistance for refugees. In addition to its social mission, Emma’s Torch also serves delicious food that reflects the multicultural backgrounds of its chefs who are often refugees themselves who came to the U.S. to build better lives.
The menu at the Brookland cafe includes various breakfast and lunch options such as classic egg dishes, salads, soups, French toast, shakshuka, and sandwiches.
“In addition to tables for a sit-down experience, Emma’s Torch also offers takeaway options for our Brookland patrons on the go,” Emma’s Torch website reads. The DC location will operate from Wednesday to Sunday.
