The beloved restaurant, known for its innovative approach to traditional Mexican fare, will be taking over the space vacated by The Pier last year. The building, located at 302 East Davis Street, has a capacity of between 100 and 150 guests.

While owner and founder Miguel Pires has not announced an official opening date yet, he anticipates opening Zandra’s in January of 2024. The restaurateur is enthusiastic about debuting Zandra’s latest location, after dedicating considerable time to its development. He states “Our executive team worked on opening this location for over a year and we are very excited to celebrate and be part of the Culpeper community.”

Pires opened the first Zandra’s in 2014, and founded the Great Eats Hospitality group to help spread the eatery throughout Virginia. The concept currently has two locations, one in Manassas and the other in Haymarket.

In addition to hand-crafted tacos, the Zandra’s menu features beloved Mexican favorites such as elotes, nachos, and chips with a variety of salsas.
