A Shake Shack representative has confirmed that the company has signed a lease for a storefront in the Reston Town Center. While the brand is remaining coy about confirming particulars pertaining to the new restaurant, paperwork submitted to Fairfax County suggests Shake Shack will be moving into 11922 Democracy Drive. The building, which has housed The Counter since 2009, will provide seating for up to 59 customers.

A precise opening date is not yet available, but Shake Shack confirms that Reston residents can look forward to enjoying its fare sometime in 2025.

Pursuing the Reston location is the latest move in a greater push by Shake Shack to infiltrate the Northern Virginia market. The concept also is actively working on opening restaurants in Loudoun and Prince William Counties.
