The bar inside the salon is expected to host events such as comedy shows, dance performances, and haircare classes. It could seat up to 80 guests.

While the hair salon is already open for customers, an opening date for the bar is yet to be announced.

Thrive Hair Bar, which has an Arlington location at 1010 N Glebe Rd Ste 100, is a natural hair salon concept owned and operated by Ajia Minnis, who encourages people to embrace their natural hair in “all of its textures.”

She wants her guests to know that, despite what they were told by the people around them, their hair is “manageable, beautiful, and worthy of a luxurious experience.”
