The concept, opening at 13930 Metrotech Drive in the Sully Place shopping center, will be helmed by local restaurateur Cody Zhou. The entrepreneur, who can also claim Virginia favorites Ocean Crab and Ocean Shack, anticipates an April, 2025 debut. The lease is freshly signed, and renderings are not yet completed.

Yu Noodles first entered the culinary scene in 2018. The brainchild of Andy Qiu and Tony Cai, the chain-named one of the DC area’s best casual restaurants in 2022 by The Washington Post-has six locations open across Maryland and Virginia.

Yu Noodles’ menu focuses on Chongqing noodles and soup dumplings. The restaurant’s website explains its cuisine and its ethos, stating “ All of our noodles are made by hand with love and care to deliver the highest quality experience. After every visit, we’re sure to leave you coming back for more.”
