The restaurant, described as “Polo Lounge meets the 21 Club” will open at 1475 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, by Q4 of 2024. Starr intends to renovate the space, turning the former home of the Occidental Grille into a “grown-up restaurant” that will be “more glamorous than it ever was”.
Starr and his crew have not released details about the nature of the dishes the new concept will serve, however they are aiming to create a full dining experience. In addition to the guaranteed high-quality cuisine foodies have come to expect from a Starr establishment, certain meals will be prepared table-side, adding an element of excitement and theater to an elegant night out.
Starr has been working hard to cement his presence in the DC landscape. In addition to the Occidental project, the restaurateur is currently developing a District location of his New York mainstay, Pastis, and Osteria Mozza, an Italian restaurant he is developing alongside Nancy Silverton.
