“We can’t wait to bring the wine country experience to Foggy Bottom,” said Jeff Carcara, CEO of Sixty Vines in a statement. “At Sixty Vines, we aim to make wine fun and approachable. We look forward to bringing this unique approach to D.C. and transporting our guests to wine country through adventure and discovery.”

With a deep commitment to sustainability, Sixty Vines’ industry-leading wine on tap system offers the closest “from the barrel” tasting experience outside of the vineyard and the most eco-friendly way for guests to enjoy wine. As its name implies, the restaurant offers 60 different wines on tap selected from wine country regions around the world. By building personal relationships with iconic winemakers, Sixty Vines offers many exclusive wines in kegs – allowing every guest to get “as close as you can get to drinking straight from the barrel.” Each keg holds 26 bottles and can be reused around 1,500 times over its refillable lifetime.

Guests are invited to discover the perfect pour for their palate with wine served by the flight, half glass, glass, or bottle. Selections include a variety of reds, rosés, whites, and bubbles sourced exclusively from iconic winemakers, along with a variety of cocktails and mocktails.

“We’re incredibly excited to have Sixty Vines’ D.C. location open at 2200 Pennsylvania Avenue,” said Stephanie Friedman, VP of Retail Leasing at BXP. “The concept’s unparalleled wine and food pairings will be an outstanding addition to Foggy Bottom’s dynamic retail, restaurant, and entertainment scene.”

Sixty Vines pairs simple cuisine with a variety of sustainable wines on tap. Often referred to as “the wine lover’s restaurant,” every plate and pour is designed to inspire adventure and discovery. Guests are encouraged to experience abundance over shared plates, enjoy wine “pinkies down,” and visit during various day parts, including brunch, lunch, and dinner. Signature menu items include custom charcuterie boards, fresh salads, sandwiches, and hand-tossed pizzas; Entrée highlights include vibrant proteins like Atlantic Salmon and Pan Roasted Chicken and hearty features such as the Double Cabernet Burger and the Wood Grilled Bavette Steak. Dessert favorites include Sticky Toffee Cake and Deviled Affogato.

On June 11, Sixty Vines will open at 4 p.m. for dinner. Sixty Vines will be open for lunch, dinner, and brunch on Saturdays and Sundays until 3 p.m. Regular hours of operation will be Monday 11 a.m. – 9 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday 11 a.m. – 10 p.m., Friday 11 a.m. – 11 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. – 11 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
