Mecha Noodle Bar isn’t just a dining destination; it’s an immersive journey into the heart of Southeast Asian culture. The restaurant design embodies a trendy, yet nostalgic ambiance. Guests can visit for a Sunday lunch with the family or late-night for a cocktail with a date.

For Co-Founders, Tony and Rich, Mecha Noodle Bar represents more than just a restaurant chain; it embodies the spirit of the American Dream. Influenced by their immigrant parents and their upbringing, Tony and Rich were inspired to build something greater than themselves. Their shared passion for cooking, creating a sense of community, and giving back laid the foundation for Mecha Noodle Bar.

“We were instantly drawn to the Union Market District for its vibrant energy and diverse cultural landscape,” Tony and Rich say in a statement. “The mix of community-focused nonprofits not only aligns with our core values but also opens the door to exciting partnerships. Plus, the area’s mom-and-pop charm and reminders of Chinatown and the classic Meatpacking District sealed the deal for us. We’re thrilled to call the Union Market District our new home!”

Through its movement Eat Justice, Mecha Noodle Bar builds 50 cents into the price of each bowl of ramen and donates the sum to a worthy cause chosen by their dedicated staff every month.

“We have been able to donate over $750,000 to support our local communities through Eat Justice,” Tony and Rich say. “We live by the mantra that profit matters, but people matter more.”

Mecha Noodle Bar will open on May 9, 2024 in the Union Market District, located at 387 Morse St NE, Washington, D.C. 20002. To celebrate this exciting journey, the first 100 bowls ordered during the grand opening will be complimentary.
