DC foodies prepared to deviate from the beaten path will soon be rewarded with delicious Turkish-Mediterranean dishes. Cagla Onal, the brilliant culinary mind behind the Georgetown favorite, Green Almond Pantry, is opening a new concept called My Little Chamomile later this year, reports local media outlet Washingtonian.

The new restaurant promises to be a hidden gem, located down a discreet alleyway behind 3210 Grace Street, NW. The space, which neighbors Reverie, will be able to accommodate up to 42 customers. My Little Chamomile is slated to begin greeting guests in late summer or early fall.
With her latest undertaking, Onal is aiming to create a warm and homey ambiance that immerses diners in a welcoming, familial environment. The chef tells Axios D.C. “I like simple cooking, slow food. My dream is more like a grandmother’s house with things that I miss from Turkey.”
My Little Chamomile will serve delectable and nourishing dishes, including fresh salads and roasted meats. Onal will be featuring her own, scratch-made butter, and guests will be able to wash down their meals with Turkish coffee and a selection of beers and wines.
