The popular restaurant, which focuses on serving authentic Mediterranean kabobs to hungry visitors, will be opening its sixth location at 1700 New Jersey Avenue, NW. The building previously housed BKK. An opening timeline is not currently available for Maman Joon’s latest home, however signage has been hung, suggesting locals will be able to savor a delicious kebab soon.

The concept prides itself on its fresh, in-house made dishes. The Maman Joon website sums up its cuisine, stating: “food should be authentic, well-crafted, and delicious. We practice this in everything we create, from our homemade yogurts to our fresh-baked breads.”

Maman Joon opened its first restaurant in Tenleytown in 2021. The restaurant now has four DC locations and one eatery in Olney, Maryland.
