The wait is nearly over for Sterling foodies eager to try one of the DMV’s hottest Asian-inspired restaurants. The growing concept will be occupying 46038 Cranston Street, a space that formerly housed Noodles & Company. Construction crews are getting ready to begin the work necessary to build out the space into what will become CHIKOS. The restaurant will be able to accommodate 55 guests inside-44 at tables and 11 at the bar. Additionally, CHIKO will have an outdoor patio area, allowing up to 24 patrons to enjoy their meals in the fresh air.

An opening date is not yet available.

The restaurant, which currently has one other Virginia location, will be a part of the rejuvenation of the Cascades Marketplace, joining Local Provisions, Shake Shack, and Taco Bamba at the shopping center.

CHIKO’s doesn’t feature a static menu, allowing for variation from location to location. However Sterling residents can look forward to dishes in the vein of house fried rice, kimchi potstickers, and cumin lamb stir-fry.

CHIKO currently has five locations-two in DC, one in Maryland, one in Virginia, and one in California.
