Chef Seng Luangrath Plans to Open a New Concept in Falls Church

Restaurateur Seng Luangrath will open a fast-casual bistro called Met Khao, replacing her existing Padaek restaurant in Falls Church. Luangrath, who owns several Southeast Asian eateries that focus on Lao cuisine, will open Met Khao at 6395 Seven Corners Centers, Falls Church, according to the Washingtonian

An opening date is yet to be announced. What Now DC reached out to Luangrath to know more about Met Khao’s concept, but hasn’t heard back.

While Padaek’s Falls Church location is set to be replaced, the restaurant’s South Arlington spot will be revamped into a newer version.

 Padaek is one of the first eateries that Luangrath launched before opening several other concepts, including Hanumanh. According to its website, Padaek originally served Thai-centric dishes before Luangrath began introducing Lao dishes. The restaurant later incorporated a full Lao menu.
