“We’re shooting for our grand opening to be sometime in October, or early November,” Khalil told What Now Washington DC, “At our grand opening, we will be offering swag and free smoothies for a year to a limited amount of the first customers to arrive and celebrate with us.”

The 1,300 square-foot property, conveniently situated on the ground level of the Cameron Square apartment complex, the proposal outlines plans for a cozy 20-seat establishment, complete with a smoothie and food prep areas, a kitchen, a single bathroom, and outdoor seating options, according to its recent permit filing.

Oubab Khalil is no stranger to the restaurant business, having previously established a Tropical Smoothie Cafe in Washington, D.C. back in 2016. His experience in the industry has honed his skills and provided him with valuable insights into the preferences of diners.

With his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for crafting delicious and healthy offerings, Khalil aims to bring a unique dining experience to Alexandria. If granted approval, his new restaurant will offer a menu focused on smoothies and a variety of delectable food options, catering to diverse tastes and dietary preferences, ALX Now recently wrote in an article about the opening.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe describes its menu offerings as “We make eating better easy and breezy with fresh, made-to-order smoothies, wraps, sandwiches, and flatbreads that instantly boost your mood,” according to the company website.
