The hardest working name in chicken is planning another DC location. Raising Cane’s is bringing its enormously popular tenders and sandwiches to Chinatown, reports popular Twitter feed @eat_dc.

The beloved concept will be joining a bustling restaurant scene when it opens at 722 7th Street, SW. An opening timeline is not currently available.
The popular chain will be entering a neighborhood that already houses Chipotle, Chopt, HipCityVeg, 90 Second Pizza, and Chick-Fil-A, among others.
Though Raising Cane’s has a relatively strong presence in the DMV region, the chicken giant is still somewhat under-represented in the District. The concept is making moves towards correcting this absence, however. In addition to the Chinatown location, Cane’s is opening a Georgetown storefront, alongside an already open restaurant in Union Station.
Raising Cane’s has become a chain to watch. The concept, known for its simple and direct menu, has been in expansion mode. Started in Baton Rouge in 1996, the restaurant now has over 700 locations in the U.S.
