The hugely popular chain is taking over the space at 7400 Baltimore Avenue that housed Nando’s Peri-Peri until this past July. College Park foodies still have a bit of a wait before they can anticipate enjoying Raising Cane’s celebrated cuisine; a brand representative states the new location will be opening in August or September of next year.
Raising Cane’s is quickly becoming an established presence across the DMV. The chain has seven locations in operation in Maryland, two in DC, and 14 in Virginia.
The concept has gained a massive fan-following since its debut in 1996 in Louisiana. Raising Cane’s features a simple and stream-lined menu; guests can choose between chicken tenders or chicken sandwiches. Sides include Texas toast, crinkle-cut fries, or coleslaw. Self-proclaimed “Caniacs” are particularly ardent about the brand’s signature Cane’s Sauce.
