The DMV staple is taking over the space at 333 Pennsylvania Avenue SE last occupied by Roland’s. Mezeh’s Capitol Hill location has been in development for quite awhile now, with the original intention of opening in September of 2023. However the brand’s official site states the restaurant is “coming soon”, though no further specifics are available.

Mezeh has established itself as a powerful presence in the DMV restaurant world. The concept burst onto the scene in 2012, quickly earning fans through its use of fresh ingredients and small-batch preparation. Mezeh employs an open kitchen model so customers can see their food being prepared and feel satisfied knowing they’ve chosen an establishment that prepares fresh meals. All of the restaurant’s cuisine is prepared in house daily.

The menu offers rice bowls, salad bowls, and wraps. While there are prefabricated recipes, Mezeh also allows customers to curate their own, selecting from an array of greens, proteins, toppings, and sauces.
