The speakeasy-style bar, which will open in mid-September, has been named after the 18th amendment in the constitution that started the Prohibition era in 1920, banning the manufacture, transport, and sale of intoxicating alcohol.

The bar is the latest concept by Monument Entertainment, which runs an event venue called The Monument and Know Concessions. 18th Rebellion will open in the basement level of The Monument, according to Northern Virginia Magazine.

Justin Tenpenny, the director of operations at Monument Entertainment, that the new bar will sit in a building that used to house a bank in 1922 but was later converted into a bar and lounge, according to the magazine.

Customers walking into 18th Rebellion’s space can expect to feel a 1920s vibe as they find leather tables with steel bases, wood-textured concrete walls, and hand-tucked upholstery, according to Northern Virginia Magazine.

“There’s like these little, tiny pieces of history that are almost fossil-like, in the way that things were done at that time,” Tenpenny said, according to the magazine.
